Netflix, Disney, YouTube Compete for 2030-2034 FIFA World Cup U.S. Rights, Package Could Reach $2 Billion

According to sources familiar with the matter, Netflix, Disney, and YouTube are competing to challenge Fox for U.S. broadcast rights to the 2030 and 2034 FIFA World Cups, with discussions expected to begin within the next three months. Amazon and Apple could also enter the bidding. Media executives are budgeting between $1.5 billion and $2 billion for the combined English- and Spanish-language U.S. rights to each tournament, a shift from previous tournaments where the languages were sold separately.
