Niger Suspends About 10 French Media Outlets on May 8

According to Niger's State Communication Observatory, the country announced on May 8 the suspension of approximately 10 French media outlets from broadcasting nationwide. The suspension was announced by Ibrahim Manzo Diallo, chairman of the observatory, citing concerns that the media outlets repeatedly published content that could threaten public order, national unity, social cohesion, and the stability of state institutions.
