According to reports on July 8, Northeast Asian refiners have sold at least 8 cargoes of August-loading diesel, each ranging from 300,000 to 750,000 barrels. Refining margins have eased to slightly above $45 per barrel, reflecting strength in crude oil markets, while cash spreads have softened to slightly above $1.10 per barrel amid thin trading. Jet fuel swap markets showed some relief in the cash premium, with the spread between jet fuel and diesel continuing to hover around a $1.50 per barrel discount.
