According to TipRanks, NVIDIA and SK Hynix signed a memorandum of understanding worth over $500 billion on Monday (July 27), covering memory supply and AI infrastructure, including a planned 2GW Vera Rubin DSX AI factory for SK Telecom by 2027 and long-term supply of next-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Samsung Electronics also signed a cooperation agreement with Broadcom worth up to $200 billion through 2030, covering HBM chips and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Bernstein analyst Mark Li reiterated outperform ratings on Micron (MU), Samsung, and SK Hynix, citing these deals as further support for memory chip demand.
NVDA fell 4.99%, Samsung dropped 7.47%, and SK Hynix declined on the news, while Broadcom rose 0.34%. On Wall Street, Micron has a strong buy consensus with 70.4% upside potential, while Samsung and SK Hynix have moderate buy ratings with 136.96% and 113.5% upside potential, respectively.
