OPEC+ Likely to Raise September Production Target by 188,000 Barrels/Day at August 2 Meeting

According to Jin10, OPEC+ is likely to agree on August 2 to raise its September production target by approximately 188,000 barrels per day, the same increase pace as June, July, and August, despite Iranian conflict disruptions. Current OPEC+ output stands significantly below quota due to export constraints in Gulf member states. June production reached 36.28 million barrels per day, down from nearly 43 million barrels per day in February before the conflict. If the September target rises as expected, all production cuts implemented since 2023 would be fully reversed.
