According to Odaily, OpenAI has launched a personal finance experience for ChatGPT Pro users in the United States today. The feature allows users to securely connect bank and investment accounts via Plaid (Intuit support coming soon) and view transaction dashboards, balances, investments, and debt information within ChatGPT. Users can ask the AI personalized financial advice based on their data while retaining full control. The service offers budget tracking, automated savings transfers, expense pattern analysis, and savings strategies across categories including dining, shopping, and subscriptions. OpenAI emphasized the feature is not professional financial advice but combines complex personal finance questions with AI reasoning. The capability will gradually expand to Plus and all users, with plans to partner with providers like Intuit.
