Gate News message, April 24 — OpenAI has officially released GPT-5.5, a next-generation AI model designed to handle complex objectives, tool integration, self-verification, and multi-step task completion. The model excels at code writing and debugging, online research, data analysis, document creation, and cross-tool operations. GPT-5.5 maintains response speeds comparable to GPT-5.4 while improving across nearly all evaluation metrics and significantly reducing token consumption for equivalent tasks.

GPT-5.5 is now available to ChatGPT and Codex Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users. OpenAI has also introduced GPT-5.5 Pro, a specialized version designed for high-difficulty tasks.
