According to TestingCatalog, OpenAI is developing a new capability for Codex that allows AI to operate software on locked or sleeping Mac systems remotely. Currently, all AI control features require the computer to be unlocked and active for the AI to view the screen and simulate mouse and keyboard inputs. The new feature aims to eliminate this limitation, enabling users to remotely control Codex from their phones to run tests or retrieve data without physically unlocking the screen.
