Over 200 Crypto Firms Including Coinbase and Ripple Urge U.S. Senate to Vote on CLARITY Act

According to ChainCatcher, more than 200 crypto companies, industry associations and community groups, including Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, a16z, Circle and Binance.US, signed a joint letter urging U.S. Senate leadership to advance a floor vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act). The letter was submitted to Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

The CLARITY Act already passed the Senate Banking Committee with bipartisan support last month. Senator Cynthia Lummis said the bill will next move to full Senate consideration. The law would establish comprehensive federal regulatory framework for digital assets and protect software developers, according to signatories.
