According to Reuters, a Qatari negotiation delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday, May 22, coordinated with the United States, to help facilitate an agreement ending the U.S.-Iran war and resolving outstanding issues. Qatar has previously served as a mediator in the Gaza conflict and other international tensions, but has avoided a direct mediation role in the Iran conflict following recent missile and drone attacks from Iran.
