According to Goldman Sachs citing IDC data, global PC shipments in Q2 2026 reached 68.2 million units, down 4.9% year-over-year, marking the first decline after nine consecutive quarters of growth. The slowdown was driven by storage and memory component shortages combined with elevated average selling prices dampening demand.

Among the top five vendors, performance diverged significantly: Apple grew 10% (9.9% market share), Asus edged up 0.2% (7.4%), Lenovo fell 2% (24.4%), Dell dropped 5% (13.6%), and HP declined 9% (19.1%).
