Philippines and EU Plan to Complete Free Trade Agreement Negotiations in June

According to Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Philippines and European Union plan to complete their free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations in June and aim to announce the signing of the accord before year-end. Vice Trade Secretary Cables Cuyugan stated that both sides are conducting their sixth and final round of negotiations this month, having substantially completed several chapters including small and medium-sized enterprises, transparency, anti-fraud rules, sustainable food systems, good regulatory practices, and trade and sustainable development provisions.
