Pi Network Pi Core team announced on July 9th that backend support has been enabled for the App Studio building platform for AI applications. The first feature launched is "Persistent Storage," allowing newly created App Studio applications to save and retrieve user-specific data across different sessions, solving the problem of progress disappearing immediately after users leave the app.

App Studio Backend Support Launch: Persistent Storage Enables Cross-Session User Data Saving

According to an official post from the Pi Core team, the new backend persistent storage feature in App Studio enables the following scenarios:

Gaming applications: Can remember and save users' highest scores across game sessions, no longer lost when closing the app.

Productivity applications: Can retain to-do lists, so users don’t need to rebuild them on each visit.

Note-taking applications: Can automatically save input content as users type.

Before this update, App Studio applications were limited to a single-session front-end experience. When users exited the app, preferences, progress, and other data would immediately disappear, restricting the development of certain types of applications.

Persistent storage is positioned as the foundation for building more features on this backend layer in the future. Pi Network encourages creators to explore updates directly within App Studio and start developing related applications.

Pi Coin Holder Data: Over 80% of OG Pioneers Hold Less Than 10 Coins

Data reports show that Pi coin distribution is as follows: Over 80% of Pi pioneers (more than 14 million OG users) currently hold fewer than 10 Pi coins, indicating most early holders have sold their coins. Addresses holding over 1 million Pi are 9,961, while those holding between 100,000 and 1 million Pi are only 766, showing that whale holders have stronger conviction than lower-tier holders, but the overall number of large holders is small.

Analysts suggest that the limited number of holders may indicate most selling pressure has been released. If market interest is reignited, Pi could rebound more easily. Currently, Pi’s price approaches historic lows, and the RSI indicator has also fallen to the bottom range.
