Pi Network Hits 18.1M KYC'd Users in April; Legacy User Backlog Raises Community Concerns

According to Pi Network's official May update, Pi Network reached 18.1 million KYC'd users in April 2026, with over 100,000 new Pioneers completing identity verification last month. More than 30,000 users migrated to mainnet, bringing total mainnet migrations to 16.72 million. However, a gap of 1.4 million users—those who completed KYC but have not yet migrated—highlights a growing community concern. Thousands of early-stage Pioneers remain stuck in "tentative approval" status for years, watching newer users progress ahead of them without explanation or resolution timeline. The Core Team has not provided a specific timeline for resolving these legacy cases, fueling frustration among the network's foundational user base.

On the technical front, Pi Core Team released the v23 node pre-release upgrade on GitHub, addressing database permissions and optimizing node stability ahead of Testnet 2 and DEX launch. In ecosystem development, CiDi Games launched its Pi ELF idle/clicker game beta in South Korea, marking one of the first compliant DApp activations following Pi's recent ecosystem purge.

Violating the original intention is too unfair to the provisional pioneer!
