According to Reddit and X users, chats shared by Claude users were indexed by Google on July 26, exposing wallet details, private keys, and access credentials to public search results. While the share pages carried a robots.txt instruction blocking Google crawl, the search engine still listed the URLs because external sites linked to them, allowing anyone with a link to access the full chat history.
Crypto users face elevated risk from such exposures; unlike passwords, leaked private keys cannot be changed and may result in permanent loss of funds. Developers flagged the issue amid reports that some wallet seed phrases appeared in the indexed chats, though no confirmed theft or seed phrase recovery has been reported.
