Putin Rages at Press Conference for Second Time in 24 Hours, Denies Aggressive Intent Toward Europe

According to Daily Star, on June 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin made two angry outbursts during a press conference, denouncing Western statements about Russian aggression as lies. When asked about a Russian drone that crashed into an apartment building in the Romanian city of Galati and injured two people, Putin denied knowledge of the incident and criticized media coverage. Later, when pressed on European leaders' preparations for potential conflict with Russia, Putin responded: "It is a lie. It is a gross, blatant lie," asserting that Russia has never threatened European countries and that Western nations caused the Ukraine tragedy through their 2014 policy in Kiev.
