Revolut connected its standalone crypto exchange, Revolut X, to third-party AI assistants on Friday, allowing customers to analyze markets, monitor portfolios, and place trades using natural language prompts. The integration supports Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor, with users on other platforms able to link accounts through a universal skill or a command-line interface published on GitHub. The move enables faster trading workflows and tighter integration with daily tools, according to Leonid Bashlykov, head of product for crypto at Revolut, and reflects a broader industry shift toward AI-assisted trading.

Revolut X Supports Natural Language Trading Commands

The integration lets customers request plain-text breakdowns of portfolio performance, pull real-time market data, set custom price alerts, place market and limit orders, and manage open positions without returning to the Revolut X app. No coding is required. Customers can also describe a trading idea in natural language — a grid strategy on bitcoin over the last 90 days, for instance — and receive historical performance, risk metrics, and optimization results. "AI agents give us much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration with the tools we use to trade every day," Bashlykov said in a statement.

Users Retain Order Approval Responsibility Under MiCA License

Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving all orders before execution. Revolut does not endorse or guarantee the third-party tools and said it is not liable for losses, missed opportunities, or erroneous trades stemming from AI errors. Revolut said it has more than 75 million retail customers and over 16 million crypto users. Cryptocurrency services are provided by Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission as a crypto asset service provider under MiCA.

Revolut X Launched May 2024 and Expanded Across 30 Markets

The Revolut X exchange launched in May 2024 as a desktop-only platform for UK retail customers, expanded to 30 European markets that November, and added a mobile app for UK and EEA users in March 2025.

Gemini and Liquid Rolled Out Agentic Trading Features

Gemini rolled out Agentic Trading in April, letting users connect Claude and ChatGPT directly to their accounts via the MCP open standard, and calling it the first such tool on a regulated U.S. exchange. Liquid launched Co-Invest a month later, bringing live trade execution into ChatGPT and Claude. Earlier this month, Robinhood said crypto-focused Agentic Accounts will begin rolling out soon in the U.S., after it previously launched an agentic stock-trading beta.
