Ripple, Coinbase Lead Crypto Industry's $189M Spending on 2026 U.S. Midterm Elections

According to a report published Tuesday by advocacy organization Public Citizen, crypto companies have contributed $189 million to influence the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, accounting for 37% of the $517 million in disclosed corporate political spending this cycle.

Ripple led the sector with $49.6 million in contributions, followed by Crypto.com at $38.6 million and Coinbase at $35.2 million. The four largest crypto contributors—Ripple, Crypto.com, Coinbase, and Gemini-affiliated entities—collectively spent roughly $149 million. The report, which analyzed Federal Election Commission disclosures and OpenSecrets data, identified Fairshake and MAGA Inc. as the primary beneficiaries, receiving $82.6 million and $56.2 million respectively from crypto-related sources.
