Rubio Signals U.S. Won't Waste Time on Ukraine Talks Without Progress; Eyes Iran Response on May 8

According to Italian media on May 8, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated that the U.S. would not waste time on Ukraine negotiations if no progress is made, while serving as a mediator. Rubio made the remarks during a press conference at the U.S. Embassy in Rome.

Rubio also predicted Iran would respond on the same day to a U.S. proposal. According to American media, the U.S. and Iran are negotiating a one-page memorandum of understanding containing 14 key points.
