According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Iranian military would face destruction if its small vessels attempt to approach American forces. Rubio stated that while Iran no longer has a functioning navy, it deploys small fishing boats in attempts to harass U.S. operations. “If those boats dare to come toward us, we will blow them up,” Rubio said, describing the tactic as a form of provocation amid heightened tensions.
