Russia Announces Ceasefire from May 8-10, Halts Combat Operations and Long-Range Strikes

According to Russian Defense Ministry statement released on May 8, Russia announced a ceasefire from May 8 to May 10 in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of Soviet victory in World War II. During this period, all Russian armed forces will completely halt combat operations in the special military operation zone and cease using missile forces, artillery, air and sea-based long-range precision weapons, and attack drones to strike Ukrainian military positions and defense-related infrastructure.
