Russia Says Ukrainian Drone Struck Oil Tanker in Its Territorial Waters

Gate News message, April 16 — Russia's Federal Investigation Committee said it has opened a criminal case against Ukraine over attacks on civilian infrastructure in Krasnodar Krai. According to the committee's spokesman Petrenko, Ukrainian forces attacked Tuapse, a port city on the Black Sea coast, earlier today, killing two people and damaging multiple residential buildings and a kindergarten.

The committee also reported that a Liberian-flagged oil tanker in Russian territorial waters was struck by a Ukrainian drone, injuring the Turkish captain who was hospitalized.

Ukraine has not yet commented on the incident.
