Russia's Economy Under Control, Says Deputy PM Novak on July 7

According to Russian Federal Government press office, Deputy Prime Minister Novak stated on July 7 that Russia's economy is completely under control and instructed government departments to continue monitoring key macroeconomic indicators to address challenges. The government's Economic Development Ministry reported that Russia's economy grew 0.2% in the first five months of 2026. Retail, dining, and service sectors saw combined revenue growth of 4.5% year-over-year during the same period.
