Russia's Final Crypto Law to Retain Non-Custodial Wallet Ban, Except for Foreign Trade

According to Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov, Russia's final version of its crypto market regulation law will retain restrictions on transfers from managed wallets to foreign non-custodial wallets, with exceptions for foreign trade participants such as importers. The final law is set to be ready next week, with hopes to pass before the end of the spring session of the State Duma. Under the law, effective July 1, Russians and companies can only purchase digital assets through licensed intermediaries.
