Saudi Arabia Hits Record Red Sea Crude Exports at 5.9M Barrels Daily as Houthis Warn of Blockade

According to Jin10 on July 21, Saudi Arabia's daily crude oil exports via the Red Sea reached a record average of 5.9 million barrels in the week through July 17, before declining slightly to 5.5 million barrels daily in the week through July 20. The exports, tracked via tanker data from the Yanbu port's two terminals, include supplies destined for Saudi Aramco refineries and Red Sea power facilities. The record shipments come as Houthi armed forces announced plans to blockade the route, a key alternative corridor Saudi Arabia activated during regional tensions to bypass Persian Gulf shipping risks. If the blockade materializes, the critical crude supply channel to international markets could face disruption.
