Seoul FX Market Transitions to 24-Hour Trading, Major Brokers Deploy Night Shift Staff

According to Seoul FX Market, on July 6, major foreign exchange brokers in Seoul deployed night shift personnel as the market transitioned to 24-hour Monday-through-Friday trading. Seoul Foreign Exchange Brokerage expanded operations with newly hired staff, implementing rotating shift schedules from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. to handle dollar-won spot trading. Korea Fund Brokerage, which opened a London office in 2024, operates an overnight-to-daytime handoff system where London operations end and Seoul night staff take over early morning trading. Brokers cited benefits of continuous market access, particularly for offshore clients using non-deliverable forward contracts during previously closed hours.
