According to Red Star News, Shandong police recently dismantled an online fraud ring targeting minors, seizing approximately 140,000 yuan in illegal proceeds and 20,000 virtual currency. The gang perpetrated over 200 fraud cases nationwide, with substantial losses.
The criminals lured minors by offering free game skins and equipment, then used screen-sharing to remotely control victims’ devices and transfer funds from their parents’ accounts. According to police, the ring’s leadership previously visited fraudulent zones in Myanmar and possessed advanced anti-detection expertise. The investigation is ongoing.
