SK Eternics Surges 101% in One Month to 80,600 Won as Semiconductor Peers Plummet

According to Korea Exchange, SK Eternics, a renewable energy developer, surged 101% in one month, reaching 80,600 won on July 23, rising 30% from the previous trading day. Over the same period, SK Hynix fell 34.26% to 1.919 million won from 2.919 million won, while Samsung Electronics declined 23.62% to 270,000 won from 353,500 won. The gains reflect rising oil prices enhancing renewable energy competitiveness and expectations for government power purchasing agreements (PPA) expansion, coupled with a recently announced partnership with global private equity firm KKR.
