SK Telecom Advances Semiconductor Fab Digital Twins with Nvidia Omniverse on June 1

On June 1, SK Telecom announced it had applied digital twin technology at SK hynix's semiconductor fabs using Nvidia Omniverse libraries. The company also developed Agentic Digital Twin Modeling with the Nvidia Agent Toolkit to automate processing of large-scale 3D manufacturing data for digital twin environments.

SK hynix aims to reach autonomous fab operations by 2030, with commercialization to proceed in phases. The effort is designed to expand capacity and improve productivity at existing fabs amid rising demand for AI chips.
