Solana and Google Cloud launch Pay.sh, AI agents can pay with stablecoins

According to a May 6 report by Decrypt, the Solana Foundation has partnered with Google Cloud to launch the Pay.sh service, which allows AI agents to pay for on-demand API access fees using stablecoins on Solana, without traditional accounts or subscriptions; for each API call, the agent only needs to pay a fraction of a cent, with no minimum spend requirement.

According to a May 6 report by Decrypt, Pay.sh connects AI agents to backend services via an API proxy gateway running on the Google Cloud platform. The service uses two open payment standards: the x402 protocol for open AI payments, incubated by Coinbase and currently maintained by the Linux Foundation, and the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), developed jointly by Tempo and Stripe.
