South Korea Designates 7 Brokerages as SME-Focused Financial Investment Firms

South Korea's Financial Services Commission designated seven securities companies as specialized financial investment firms for small and medium-sized enterprises on July 10, 2026. The designated firms are BNK Securities, IBK Securities, SK Securities, Leading Securities, Eugene Securities, Korea Asset Securities, and Hanwha Securities. The designation period runs for three years, from July 10, 2026 through July 9, 2029, as part of efforts to strengthen capital market support for SMEs and startups.
