South Korea Files Charges Against 304 for Cryptocurrency and Financial Crimes, Recovers 381.4B Won Over Past Year

According to the South Korean Ministry of Justice, the agency filed charges against 304 individuals for financial securities and cryptocurrency crimes over the past 12 months (through May 2026), recovering 381.4 billion won in ill-gotten gains. The enforcement action was announced on July 20 as part of the Justice Minister's one-year performance summary, with 25 of the accused arrested.
