According to South Korea's Foreign Ministry, a South Korean oil tanker carrying approximately 2 million barrels of crude oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz on May 20, marking the first Korean vessel to transit the waterway since Iran's conflict began. The tanker departed the Persian Gulf on May 19 following negotiations between Seoul and Tehran.
