According to Newsis, South Korean retail investors made net purchases of $2.879 billion in U.S. semiconductor and index exchange-traded funds today (July 22), marking the largest inflow in five months. The surge represents a fourfold increase from June's $632.96 million and reflects renewed buying sentiment after net selling in April and May.
SOXL, a 3x leveraged ETF tracking the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, led purchases at $2.431 billion, followed by SK Hynix ADR at $596.22 million. Other top positions included the ProShares UltraPro QQQ (3x Nasdaq-100 leverage) at $180.49 million, Alphabet at $116.79 million, and the Invesco Nasdaq-100 ETF at $110.20 million.
