According to Financial News, South Korea's KOSPI market short-selling net holdings fell to 16.85 trillion won on July 22, down 3.48 trillion won (17.10%) this month as investors reduce bearish bets. Separately, stock lending balances dropped 29.09 trillion won (16.34%) to 148.88 trillion won as of July 24, signaling eased downside pressure.

Analysts attribute the decline to excessive market adjustment, with valuations now attractive at a forward P/E of below 6x for KOSPI. Market focus shifts to this week's major tech earnings releases—including Microsoft, Meta, Apple, and Amazon—alongside Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix results.
