South Korea's National Pension Service Net Buys 150 Billion Won as KOSPI Plummets 28.4% in July

According to Korea Exchange data, South Korea's National Pension Service and other public pension funds made net purchases of 150 billion won on the KOSPI during July 1-28, 2026, amid a sharp market decline. Over the same period, the KOSPI index fell 2,408.81 points (28.42%). National Pension Service head Kim Sung-ju stated the fund is maintaining long-term investment principles without being swayed by market volatility, countering speculation about election-driven stock support.
