According to CCTV, on May 20, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung condemned Israel during a cabinet meeting for intercepting a Gaza aid convoy in international waters and detaining Korean citizens aboard. Lee called the action "excessive and inhumane" and stated that South Korea must lodge a formal protest. He emphasized that even during wartime, Israel cannot intercept and detain vessels of third countries in violation of international law.
