According to Reuters, SpaceXAI and Cursor are set to launch their first joint AI model as soon as Wednesday, per a staff memo. The model was trained on SpaceX's Colossus supercomputer cluster, which scales to approximately one million H100-equivalent graphics processing units (GPUs). The product will ship in both Cursor, the AI code editor, and Grok Build, SpaceXAI's developer-facing platform.
SpaceX has exercised its option to acquire Cursor in an all-stock transaction, as announced on its official X account. The acquisition originated from an April 21 partnership agreement that included a $60 billion buyout option. SpaceX holds 18,712 BTC on its balance sheet, making it one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders.
