Spotware Hires Alexis Droussiotis as cBridge Co-General Manager

Spotware Systems has hired Alexis Droussiotis as Co-General Manager of cBridge, bringing an 18-year industry veteran into a role focused on bridge technology and liquidity connectivity. Droussiotis joins from Match-Trade Technologies, where he served as Head of Platform, with prior leadership positions at PrimeXM, Alpari, FXTM, Windsor Brokers and SpotOption. The appointment comes as brokers face increasing infrastructure complexity and margin pressure, prompting closer examination of technology costs that were previously accepted as standard operational expenses.

Droussiotis Brings 18-Year Career Spanning Broker Operations and Bridge Technology

Alexis Droussiotis spent six years at PrimeXM as Chief Information Officer and Director before his most recent role at Match-Trade Technologies, where he oversaw the growth of the Match-Trader platform. His career also includes positions at Alpari, FXTM, Windsor Brokers and SpotOption.

Speaking to FinanceFeeds following his appointment, Droussiotis said: "After eighteen years in this industry, I've worked nearly every layer of it — I started on the broker side, spent years in bridge technology and connectivity, and most recently led the platform side. So when I looked at cBridge, I wasn't evaluating it as an outsider. I was looking at it with a fairly clear picture of where the operational and commercial pain actually sits for brokers."

cBridge Operates Within Established Spotware and cTrader Ecosystem

Droussiotis stated that cBridge's connection to Spotware and the cTrader ecosystem influenced his decision to join. "What convinced me was the foundation. Building infrastructure is only half the equation — the other half is the ecosystem you build it on," he said. "Spotware and the cTrader ecosystem already carry real credibility and trust in this market, and that's not something you can manufacture; it's earned over years."

He added: "For me, that made it the right place to build. You're not starting from zero trying to convince the market you belong — you're building on a brand already respected, which means you can focus your energy on solving the problems that actually matter instead of fighting for credibility."

cBridge has been positioned as a platform-agnostic infrastructure solution capable of connecting MT4, MT5, cTrader and FIX environments through a single connectivity layer.

cBridge Pricing Model Based on Connections Rather Than Trading Volume

Droussiotis addressed traditional bridge pricing models that charge fees based on trading volume. "I'll be direct — yes, and I say that having spent a large part of my career inside that model, so I understand exactly why it exists and where it stops making sense," he said when asked whether traditional bridge pricing had become problematic. "The traditional model charges on volume — effectively a fee for every million traded. When a broker is small, that feels fair and manageable. The problem is what happens as they grow."

He stated: "The more successful the broker becomes, the more they trade, and the more their infrastructure costs climb. Their own growth becomes a cost they're penalised for. I've seen brokers reach a point where the infrastructure line item is quietly eating into the margin that growth was supposed to create — and that's a strange position to put a successful business in."

cBridge prices according to liquidity provider connections and taker connections rather than trading volume. Droussiotis said: "cBridge's view is that bridge pricing should be predictable. A fixed cost — per liquidity provider and per Taker connection, rather than per volume — means a broker can grow as much as they want without their bridge bill climbing at the same pace. It turns the bridge back into what it should be: a stable foundation that supports growth, rather than something that works against it."

Platform-Agnostic Infrastructure Addresses Multi-Platform Broker Environments

Droussiotis described a shift in broker technology stacks: "It's becoming unavoidable, and I'd say it's one of the clearest shifts I've seen across my time in the industry. Brokers no longer live in a single-platform world. A typical broker today might run MT4 and MT5, offer cTrader, and perhaps another platform for their prop business — all at once, each serving a different client segment."

He stated that supporting multiple platforms can create operational duplication. "The risk is that every platform ends up siloed, with its own setup and its own overhead," Droussiotis said. "So every time you want to grow or change something, you end up doing it several times over — and that's where mistakes creep in."

On platform-agnostic infrastructure, he said: "Platform-agnostic infrastructure solves that by sitting cleanly across all of them — one consistent layer for connectivity, routing, and control, regardless of which platform the client is on. The value isn't just technical convenience; it's strategic flexibility. It means a broker can add a platform, enter a new market, or serve a new client type without rebuilding their foundation each time. In a market that moves as fast as ours, that flexibility is what separates the brokers who can adapt quickly from the ones held back by their own setup."
