According to sources, on July 15, Stripe and Advent International jointly proposed acquiring PayPal at $60.5 per share, valuing the company at over $53 billion, representing approximately 28% premium to PayPal's Tuesday closing price. JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley committed to provide $50 billion in acquisition financing and serve as advisors. Under the proposed deal structure, Stripe and Advent International would each hold 50% of PayPal.
