Taiwan's Lai Says TikTok, Xiaohongshu Pose Security Risk to Youth on June 3

On June 3, Taiwan President Lai Ching-te claimed that TikTok and Xiaohongshu pose a security crisis to Taiwan's youth, potentially eroding support for democracy, according to China's State Council Taiwan Affairs Office briefing. Lai said he would ask Taiwan's education and cultural departments to address the matter. The comment was made during a dialogue with high school students on the island.
