According to Hyperinsight data monitoring on July 20, a whale trader (0x2fcb) has accumulated $1.86 million in total silver profits year-to-date by shorting the metal since late January. Silver (SILVER) peaked at $122 in late January 2026, and now trades at $56.92, down 53.35% from its year-to-date high.

The trader initially deployed approximately $159,000 in capital on January 27 when silver was near $110, and through incremental profit-taking and re-entry trades, has realized $1.288 million in closed positions. Currently holding 23,500 short contracts at 25x leverage with an entry price of $81.26, the position is worth approximately $1.337 million with unrealized gains of $572,000, representing a 749% return. Historical trading data shows the whale maintains a net bullish bias on shorting, with 69 short positions among 100 completed trades and a 49% win rate.
