Trump Approval Rating Drops to 37%, Second-Term Low, as Economic Concerns and Iran War Weigh

GateNews

According to The New York Times poll released today (May 18), President Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 37%, marking a second-term low, with 59% of respondents expressing disapproval. A majority of voters view his handling of the economy, inflation, living costs, and the Iran war negatively. The survey found that 49% of respondents describe the U.S. economic situation as poor, up 11 percentage points from January, while only 28% believe Trump has properly addressed living costs. Since the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran began in late February, Trump’s approval rating has remained below 40%, with rising oil prices and war-related economic pressures continuing to erode market and public confidence.
