UMC Reports Q2 Revenue of 687.33B TWD, Up 12.6% Sequentially and Reaching 15-Quarter High

According to UMC's earnings report on July 6, the wafer foundry reported Q2 revenue of 687.33 billion TWD, up 12.61% quarter-over-quarter and 16.98% year-over-year, marking a 15-quarter high. June revenue reached 231.25 billion TWD, up 22.85% year-over-year and representing the highest monthly figure in 3 years and 8 months. The company attributed the growth to surging demand for mature-process semiconductors driven by AI-related power management and power device chips, with UMC serving as a key foundry partner for European and American IDM companies.
