According to Financial Times reporting on June 2, citing three sources, the United States is discussing expanding nuclear weapon deployments beyond six current European NATO members. The U.S. has already deployed nuclear-capable bombers in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. American officials have signaled openness to additional deployments in other NATO countries, with Poland and Baltic states showing interest in hosting dual-capable aircraft (DCA)—warplanes capable of carrying out nuclear strikes. Discussions are ongoing through NATO channels.
