According to NBC News, U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said on May 10 the Trump administration is open to all ideas, including suspending federal fuel taxes, to lower gas prices. The national average gas price has surged to $4.52 per gallon on Sunday, up more than 50% since the Iran conflict began, according to American Automobile Association data. Wright noted that everything has a cost and declined to predict near-term energy prices.
