U.S. Military Deployment to Secure Strait of Hormuz Fails on May 6, Iran Warns of Consequences

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry official Nouralbadi, on May 6, a U.S. military deployment aimed at escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz under the so-called "Operation Freedom" failed due to strong responses from Iranian armed forces and warnings from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Nouralbadi stated that any military adventurism by the U.S. and its allies in the Strait of Hormuz and Persian Gulf would result in unbearable consequences and further complicate the situation. He emphasized that only Iran and its people can ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
