U.S. Treasury Sanctions Cuba's President Diaz-Canel and Family Members on June 4

According to Xinhua News, the U.S. Treasury announced on June 4 that it has designated Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel, his wife, stepson, and family members of late revolutionary leader Raúl Castro for sanctions, along with related entities and individuals. President Diaz-Canel responded that the move aims to strengthen the U.S. blockade against Cuba, adding that the country will resist imperial aggression. Cuba's Foreign Ministry called the new round of sanctions "economic aggression" and warned it could lead to more dangerous actions, including potential military intervention.
