U.S. Treasury Sanctions Iran Weapons Procurement Network on July 16

According to the U.S. Treasury Department, on July 16, the U.S. government sanctioned individuals and entities participating in an international network facilitating Iran's weapons procurement. The sanctioned targets include Iranian and Russian nationals, as well as multiple entities based in Iran, Russia, and Nigeria. The Treasury Department stated that the sanctions target parties that enabled Iran to utilize foreign aviation and transportation companies, financial channels, and travel coordinators to conceal the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' role in illegal procurement activities and transfer materials and personnel globally.
