According to Al Jazeera, Lebanese officials stated on May 7 that the United States is working to ease Israeli strikes on Lebanon to maintain a ceasefire and prepare for second-phase negotiations. Representative-level talks between Israeli and Lebanese delegations are expected to begin next week in Washington.
